At KLCC our aim is to get as many people cycling with us as possible. The committee and ride leaders are all volunteers but we do have several basic costs to cover:
- British Cycling affiliation – this gives KLCC the liability insurance to ensure the club and club officials are covered against claims from third parties if an incident happens during a club activity.
- Website.
- Bank charges – the bank now charges for out charity account.
For 2023 subscriptions will be £10 (+£1 British Cycling admin fee), but there is an early bird discount of £5 for those renewing before the end of January 2023.
To join you will need to register with British Cycling. You don’t have to become a British Cycling member, although you should carefully consider the pros and cons for yourself. The KLCC affiliation covers us as a club – individual club member are not insured unless they themselves are Ride, Race Silver or Race Gold members of British Cycling with personal liability insurance cover. https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/clubinsurance
